The Mill

S ince 1374 milling has taken place at Vintre Møller. During the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, Vintre Møller has produced flour, textiles, and other quality products for the wealthy people in Roskilde and Copenhagen.

In 1805 Vintre Møller was sold for 694 Rigsdaler (eq. to 185 Eur.) at which time grain and wool were processed at the mill. In 1889 the mill was taken over by Karl Johan who at the turn of the 20th century produced 100,000 bottles of beer a year. Today the mill is our whiskey storage facility, providing us with the most appropriate and beautiful environment for barrel aging.
